Engr. Dr. Malik
ABDULWAHAB has a combination of multifaceted experience in Metallurgical,
Materials and Production Engineering; he holds a PhD degree in Metallurgical
Engineering. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer and Coordinator Postgraduate,
Collaboration and Research, Department of Metallurgical and Materials
Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
His area of interests are: Materials Development and Corrosion Engineering-
Alloy development and processing, mechanical and corrosion characteristics of
aluminium alloy based alloys, corrosion, materials performance and structural
integrity, triboxidation processing, electrochemical study of thermally treated
metals and alloys, microstructural morphology/evolution, biomaterials,
electrocodeposition and laser technology. In these areas, Dr ABDULWAHAB has
published over one hundred and thirty-three (133) local and international
journal and conference proceedings. He has attended and presented more than
seven (7) seminar papers. Equally, he had supervised/supervising: fifteen (15)
MSc and ten (10) PhD with evidence of Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
Institutional award. Currently, he is an external assessor to Postgraduate
School, Department of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering,
Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa and a Resource
Consultant to National Metallurgical Development Centre, Jos, Nigeria. DR.
Abdulwahab is a registered Metallurgical Engineer by COREN and member of many
academic and professional societies. He is married with children.
